For Him...From Her (Our Beginnings)

You know you're something special when your guy steps out of his way and showers his girl above and beyond to show his love, affection, attention and appreciation of her to celebrate her Birthday...he makes it memorable.

And she ponders these things in her heart...

She knows she is loved. She knows she is thought of. She knows she is wanted. She knows she is his.

But... then there comes a day when grey skies roll in and cloud her mind. She doesn't forget but she is stuck on other thoughts that rob her of security and comfort. The areas that need attention she just can't seem to understand fully and fails to share them in a way that is intended.

She questions...

Could this be a past issue become present?

She assumes, presumes and predicts.

Her insecurity creeps in. She is afraid of her vulnerability. Of losing... again. She's found love but will he too escape her? When her layers are revealed... one by one peeled away until her core is transparent... will this one remain?

She knows she is far from perfection. She wishes to be seen as human. To be understood as she is, flaws and all. To be accepted fully and without resentment. Let his yes be yes! Yes to choosing me over and over, time and time again. Never to give up always holding on to tomorrow.

She desires him to feel her love. To know her adoration for him. She craves for his complete knowing. She seeks him but sometimes he misses her seeking. She embraces him in ways he may not feel... but even from a distance, she is embracing. If only he could sense my passionate energy bursting from my inner being, she thinks.

As he claims her for his one and only he must know and stop doubting even for one second that he isn't hers just the same.

Remember a time ago...

where two paths crossed unexpectedly and two individuals met? Without notice, without intent and completely different lives, these two opened up cautiously and guarded but everyday spent was a step closer to all of their dreams of love now becoming real. Afraid... but they fell. And deeply. He revealed his scars, his brokenness and she revealed her cracks, her stains... and for the first time in their lives they...felt...and knew...pure...unconditional...raw...

Love.
